The Chevrolet Trax is a small SUV, (subcompact crossover, according to the EPA). It competes with vehicles like the Kia Soul, Nissan Kicks and Honda HR-V. If you’re familiar with the Toyota RAV4 and Honda CR-V – those are compact crossovers. The Chevy Trax and its competitors are one size smaller than them.

Compact crossovers like the RAV4 have grown A LOT in both size and price over the last 10 years. It’s easier to think of the Chevy Trax as the size those vehicles used to be. — except with extra interior room, way more comfort, tech, and safety features like OnStar that those early 2000s small SUVs never had.

If you’re looking for a new vehicle for WAY under $30K, you’ll have a hard time landing a better deal than the Chevy Trax. It offers the MPG and nimble handling of a small hatchback with the utility, and comfort of an SUV. A long list of popular standard features like Apple CarPlay and Android Auto round it out.

It makes a fantastic first vehicle for your son or daughter in high school or heading to college – plenty of room and top-notch safety and infotainment features. It’s affordable to own and simple to service too.

Handling and ride are improved, the interior is quieter, and there’s more safety equipment. The base model Trax even gets a bigger infotainment screen than the top-of-the-line Trax did before.

Yet…somehow the 2024 Chevy Trax starts at $1400 less than the previous model did. That is despite being longer, wider, roomier, quieter, safer, and all around better. In our view, that makes this little SUV a bright spot in the ocean of expensive new vehicles out there today.

We get it, Major World Chevrolet is a new Chevy dealer, so of course, we love the Chevy Trax. But we’re not the only ones in love with this great small SUV and its terrier spirit – the car press has been heaping praise on the NEW Chevy Trax ever since it dropped.
